Robinson College has launched a new plant food menu for conferences and events in response to client demand.

The events team at the College are reporting that 60% of new event enquiries are specifying that vegan and vegetarian menu options should be available for delegates. Recognising the need, the team, along with the catering department, have devised a range of meat-free menu options using a range of premium products, with Tofu, vegan curries, Seitan and Heura burgers proving very popular.

Speaking at the College’s recent plant-food fayre, which offered a plant-based menu and wine tasting, Kevin Breeze, Head of Conference and Catering Services said: “We had anticipated increased demand for vegan and vegetarian options and our new menu builds upon our commitment to encourage and help organisers to make sustainable choices whilst at the same time helping to deliver on the College’s commitment to be net zero by 2030. Feedback from both delegates and students has been very positive and we have received raving reviews on the choices offered.”

Organisers have the option to include plant-based menu items alongside other choices as well as the opportunity to work with the catering team to deliver a bespoke menu, tailored to the needs of the delegates and the event.

Robinson College has been a venue for residential and non-residential conferences and meetings since 1981, it offers a range of meeting and dining facilities and holds an AIM Gold accreditation from the Meetings Industry Association in recognition of its professional approach and ability to deliver first-class events.
