Imagen Ltd is a global organisation which offers a cloud-based highly customisable video management platform that enables sports organisations, media companies and enterprise organisations to intelligently manage and maximise the value of their video content. Based in Willingham just outside Cambridge city centre, the company was established in 1996 and also has offices in London and New York.
Brief
Mark Watson, Account Manager, said: "We had a company meeting planned for December involving our local staff and some of our London-based staff too. We decided that since everyone was together, it would make sense to organise our Christmas social event on the same day. Our CFO had previous experience of dining in a Cambridge College so it was initially decided that I would look into availability for a lunchtime event.
"I found out about Meet Cambridge from a personal contact at a College. It was the first time I had used the service, and I found that it was very simple to use and helpful in that I only had to make a single enquiry, rather than having to contact each College individually. When our plans changed to an evening event, rather than a lunchtime one, all I had to do was revise my requirements and the team at Meet Cambridge updated the search for me. Within a day or two, we had four College options to choose from."

“We chose Westminster College for our event. They offered an excellent rate for the exclusive use of the Dining Hall, going the extra mile to be flexible on their minimum number requirements. Our guests who had travelled from London were also able to take advantage of the on-site accommodation, which was also competitively priced. We had no previous experience of the venue, but it turned out to be a hidden gem. The unique, historical setting really added something a little special to the evening, making it even more memorable.

"As the organiser, I was very appreciative of the incredibly helpful team at Westminster College who were very efficient in my dealings with them. The menu we chose was perfect for the occasion and a little bit different to the usual ‘festive’ menu; it made a nice change to see a choice of non-turkey dishes! The whole event, from the drinks reception through to breakfast the next morning was incredibly well-received by all of our guests and we have had great feedback. It was good to be able to make use of services that are right on our doorstep and I wouldn’t hesitate to use Meet Cambridge or Westminster College again."
