We are excited to introduce Meet Cambridge Discovery Days that is build on the success of our pervious Opendoors events. Our Discovery Days take a more focused approach, bringing together venues and experiences tailored to a specific event objective. We will arrange that during the tours you will visit a range of venues designed to support that specific theme while also meeting the venue teams to build connections within the Cambridge event space. These events give you the opportunity to explore a range of suitable venues in one convenient visit, helping you source ideas and solutions for future events.
These events are open to anyone from those who organise a handful of events or meetings a year to those balancing a full events schedule for your company, we want to welcome you all to gather inspiration about how Cambridge can work for you!

Up coming Next Discovery Days:
Our first Discovery Day, taking place on 25th November, will focus on venues that can host Conferencing with Accommodation across Cambridge.
If you plan your companies’ conferences and big meeting events this discovery day might just be the right fit for you.
While it is often tempting to stick to the same venues you have used before, we are here to allow you to see alterative options as sometimes a change in scenery can allow for creative breakthroughs. Hosting a conference in the right setting is very important as it sets the tone so through our discovery day you will be able to gather an idea of what some of our venues have to offer from historic colleges to state of the art, purpose built conference centres, Cambridge provides it all.
This November why not explore unique spaces that can help you create more engaging and impactful events. Whether you're looking for building with history, collaborative breakout spaces, state of the art built in AV or a range of accommodation for all delegate types, you'll leave with fresh ideas, practical solutions and a shortlist of venues for future events.

Do I need to sign up to attend this event?
Yes, we ask please could you fill out the sign up form, linked here, so we can gather an idea of who might be attending and to keep you informed of further details.
How much walking will we need to be able to do?
This will depend on each tour, so we would recommend you get in contact with us at admin@meet-cambridge.com to discuss the specifics for each discovery tour.
However we do try to keep walking for when the venues are close by but if the venues are further out we will provide the transport such as a taxi.
Will food and drink be provided?
No, this is something you will need to provide yourselves we strongly recommend you bring a water bottle to stay hydrated on the odd occasion the venues might provide something small but that is up to their discretion so please do not rely on this. We will try to avoid key times such as lunch time or too early in the morning or late afternoon.
What can I do if I am interested but am unavailable on the date of the discovery day?
The dates are preset and arranged with the venues specific for that tour theme, so we are unable to move them. However, these discovery days are aimed to be what you as put clients want and need, so if there is a theme you are unable attend and would like to or you think we have missed something please contact us on admin@meet-cambridge.com so we can either run it again or change details if possible. We always welcome feedback!
When will timing for future events be shared?
We plan to arrange them all at the beginning of each era, so they should be shared at the early part of the year.
