Set in 20 acres of stunning gardens, Newnham College hosts a variety of events; including residential and day conferences, weddings and dinners, workshops, to name but a few. These events are hosted in the beautiful and stunning buildings that make up the College and are grouped around extensive landscaped gardens. The College has 86 brand-new bedrooms, which includes 81 double en suite bedrooms.
Whether you are looking for ‘old’ Cambridge, in the meeting rooms situated in the older parts of the College, with all of its history. Or ‘new’ Cambridge in the Dorothy Garrod Building, Newnham covers all aspects to create the perfect event.
The College recently opened the Dorothy Garrod Building, offering meeting facilities for up to 150, including a plenary room, three break out spaces and a beautiful rooftop dining area, with stunning views across the city. There is also a fabulous café area, with direct access on to the gardens.
A short 5 to 10 minute walk away is the added attraction of Cambridge’s city centre: fine architecture, historic buildings and punting on the River Cam.
There is also limited car parking available on site and a dedicated and experienced events team.
With 4 separate catering areas, the largest being the College Hall – seating up to 160 guests, plus a more casual Buttery, private dining in the Pavilion with fabulous views across Cambridge and the vibrant Iris Café – all your catering needs are covered at Newnham College.
