Set in magnificent gardens just four miles from the centre of Cambridge, and a mere 60 minutes from London, the Madingley Hall conference centre provides a memorable setting for your company conference, event, afternoon tea or special wedding day.
Built in the 16th century, this elegant country house has 14 well-equipped meeting rooms capable of accommodating up to 100 delegates, and tasteful en-suite accommodation, all within seven acres of spectacular gardens and grounds, designed in the 18th century by ‘Capability’ Brown.
The Hall is one of the few University venues to offer all year-round availability for residential and non-residential events, offering superb catering using locally-sourced, seasonal ingredients, a bar for that post-meeting wind-down, ample car parking and even croquet lawns in season.
Since 1948 Madingley Hall has been owned by the University of Cambridge, and houses the Institute of Continuing Education.
The simple act of sharing food gets delegates talking and creates a warm, convivial atmosphere. Whether you’d like a quick, informal buffet or an indulgent, gala dinner, Madingley Hall provides fresh, locally-sourced food of a quality that’s second to none.
Using top-quality, seasonal ingredients, the team will help you to assemble a tantalising menu that will whet the appetite of even the choosiest guest. They would also be happy to accommodate special dietary requirements by prior arrangement.

When you’re hosting a multi-day event, comfortable and convenient accommodation can be vital to its success. The on-site accommodation is located in the glorious grounds of the Hall, just moments away from the conference facilities.
With pleasant views over the woods, gardens and courtyard, the 62 ensuite bedrooms (5 twin, 21 double, 36 single) are warm, welcoming and comfortably furnished. Each room has internet access, digital television and a direct-dial telephone, as well as tea- and coffee-making facilities and a safe for your valuables. Rooms will be ready by 2pm on the day of your arrival. A special lift gives access to two rooms adapted for wheelchair users, and all areas on the ground floor can be reached once inside the building.
