The largest of our Old Courts rooms. A tiered theatre complete with lectern-controlled AV equipment, it is an excellent venue for both conferences and lectures. Subject to approval by the Director of Music, it is also possible to hold piano recitals with use of the Steinway Grand Piano.

Located in the very heart of Cambridge, Gonville & Caius College offers an array of modern and traditional meeting rooms and private dining facilities.

With over six hundred years of heritage, Caius has beautiful buildings around the historic Old Courts in the city centre. Home to five meeting rooms, all of which provide natural daylight, and several atmospheric panelled dining rooms as well as the magnificent Old Courts Dining Hall that can hold up to 184 for gala dinners and weddings.

Just over the river at West Road, neighbouring the Cambridge University Sidgwick Site, set in extensive gardens are The Stephen Hawking Building, Harvey Court Building and College grass you can actually walk on! The versatile Cavonius Centre is the hub of the site with informal syndicate rooms, registration space and breakout areas also available. If the weather allows, you can even hold your coffee breaks outside on the patio.

During vacation periods, West Road also provides modern ensuite B&B accommodation, making it ideal for a residential conference.

Caius prides itself on the reputation it has gained for its excellent food and service standards. There are a range of private dining rooms available, seating from 10 to 184 guests. The College Chefs provide mouth-watering dishes to suit all dietary requirements and which have satisfied the most discerning food critic. Extensive menus are available and can be tailored to suit a particular event.

The Lord Colyton Hall, located adjacent to the Fellows' Dining Room, would provide an excellent venue for pre-dinner drinks. Please note the Lord Colyton Hall is only available from 19:30. Weddings

Caius has a variety of rooms licensed for civil ceremonies with capacity up to 100 people. The stunning courts provide the perfect backdrop for memorable photographs whilst the impressive Main Hall plays host to your wedding breakfast with room for 170 guests.
Gonville & Caius College is also proud to offer its spacious gardens at West Road for outdoor weddings and a wedding gazebo is planned for 2020.

The College is unable to host weddings during term time but welcomes all wedding parties throughout the Easter, Summer and Christmas vacation periods.

Green Initiatives
