Darwin College

Stunning Riverside Setting
Contemporary Spaces With Garden Views
Wonderful Outdoor Areas
Large Multi-Functional Rooms
Historic, Unique Atmosphere
Beautiful, Classic Style Rooms

Darwin College, founded in 1964, is located in the centre of Cambridge, overlooking the River Cam where two small and picturesque islands belonging to the College give it a charming atmosphere. It offers a variety of spaces suitable for meetings, dining, events and functions.

Originally, Newnham Grange, the property was the family home of Charles Darwin's son and grandson, and the University of Cambridge’s first graduate-only College, as well as the first College, to admit both men and women. Today it is one of the larger Graduate Colleges; a very special community, with well-appointed meeting rooms, excellent catering and service.

The meeting facilities have views of the riverside gardens which offer further opportunities for outdoor events or breakout spaces where guests and delegates can enjoy a moment of calm in this tranquil and unique setting.

Sustainability and ethical catering is the heart and soul of Darwin's kitchens. The expert, award-winning, catering and events team work hard to offer interesting and varied menus using responsibly sourced ingredients; offering sustenance with excellent service whether you're planning a meeting, seminar, private dinner or celebration.
