For over 350 years Newmarket Racecourses has been synonymous with horse racing's classic events. The Millennium Grandstand, located at the heart of the East of England, is the ideal venue for your next event. Just a few miles from Cambridge, The Rowley Mile benefits from swift and easy access thanks to its proximity to the A11 and A14.

The Rowley Mile Racecourse is an inspirational venue where victory means everything. It follows, therefore, that when business clients use the Millennium Grandstand’s outstanding conference and meeting facilities, their event will be a clear-cut winner in every respect.

The picturesque site offers modern indoor facilities, flexible meeting rooms, stylish banqueting rooms, beautiful outdoor space and ample free parking. 17 days a year The Rowley Mile transforms into a world class racecourse offering sponsorship opportunities, hospitality and dining packages and group bookings.

For the remainder of the year it is available for exhibitions, conferences, meetings, team building, private parties - and in December, Christmas party nights.

It is a location which lends so much to any event taking place here, infusing it with a very special sense of occasion thanks to its racecourse environment and its inextricable links to sporting excellence and royal history.

Food and drink at Newmarket is provided by Jockey Club Catering, offering guests a range of mouth-watering menus, created from the freshest seasonal ingredients, sourced locally wherever possible to support local farmers.

The venue also supports Fairtrade farmers and their communities and a range of our produce is sourced from Fairtrade producers.

Choose from set menus from canapés to five course dinners or talk to the team for help in creating the perfect bespoke menu for your event.

Green Initiatives

  1. Solar panels have been installed at the racecourses and links stables, this has helped to contribute to energy reduction.
  2. Over 80% of our waste produced at both our racecourse and stables has been recycled.
  3. Fresh local ingredients are used where possible. Using suppliers such as Powters of Newmarket for our sausages and beef burger.
  4. Through an online portal electrical usage is monitored to see where improvements can be made.

Did You Know?

  1. In 1666 the town's oldest race was run, The Newmarket Town Plate, it's still run annually on the original course.
  2. Two vehicles weighing 4,700kg were crane lifted on to the balcony for a product launch of a prestige car.
  3. The Rowley Mile is named after King Charles II's horse, Old Rowley.
  4. The Rowley Mile Racecourse was once used as an RAF station.
