Magdalene College offers a fantastic range of conference facilities, from beautiful historic buildings, to bright, modern and contemporary spaces for a variety of events.

Cripps Court is an award-winning conference centre situated at Magdalene College. It boasts an auditorium for up to 142 people, a striking oak beamed Gallery for informal events, five attractive meeting rooms and a large foyer with exhibition space - all fully accessible. It is open virtually all year round and is an ideal venue for corporate and private clients wishing to hold an event in a stunning, modern environment.

The College has an enviable reputation for providing a high standard of cuisine; it has two stunning dining rooms for either small, intimate dinners or for larger banquets plus a beautiful Gallery for informal dining. On offer are a wide range of contemporary menus to suit all tastes; the Head Chef and experienced catering team are pleased to cater for any special dietary requirements that clients may have.

The College has approximately 200 bedrooms available for conference use during the vacation periods.

Within Cripps Court there are 49 quality, modern en suite and 11 standard bedrooms, for residential conferences. All are equipped with a TV point, a telephone point and have internet access.

Additional en suite and standard bedrooms are situated in the historic part of the College.

  1. The College has achieved Gold Award as part of the University’s Green Impact Scheme for 19/20.
  2. All food & drink where possible is from local & sustainable sources.
  3. An effort is made to reduce use of paper: White boards instead of flip charts / electronic forms and Contracts.
  4. The College actively encourages composting and using energy at low levels.

Did You Know?

  1. Home to a stunning 16th century, purely candle-lit, College Hall, a rare find in Cambridge.
  2. Has the longest River frontage of any Cambridge College.
  3. The Pepys Library – home to the famous Samuel Pepys diaries and his personal library collection is located at the College.
  4. Graffiti still visible in First Court, some names are recognisable as belonging to monks who studied in the sixteenth century.
