Kettle’s Yard is one of Britain’s best galleries - a beautiful and unique house with a distinctive modern art collection and a gallery exhibiting modern and contemporary art. In February 2018, Kettle’s Yard reopened after a two year redevelopment by architect Jamie Fobert. The new Kettle’s Yard includes major new exhibition galleries, generous educations spaces, a café and welcome areas.
The beautiful house with its remarkable collection of modern art preserved in an intimate, domestic setting includes work by some of the most significant artists of the last century. Private hire offers exclusive access to the world-class permanent collection along with light filled contemporary galleries displaying a changing programme of 20th century and contemporary art.
A wide range of spaces are on offer for events including day meetings, product launches, recruitment events and elegant drinks receptions. In the summer months the main doors can be opened to make the most of the terrace area and Jim Ede’s charming small cottage garden. For special occasions the House extension may be used for dinners for up to 40 guests.
All catering arrangements must be made directly with one of the venue's approved caterers, a list of which will be provided.
The Garden Kitchen is our onsite caterer, offering delicious food using carefully sourced ingredients and taking a sensible approach to seasonality. Expect staff to deliver a professional and discreet service with an ethos which reflects that of Kettle’s Yard. Out of hours the cafe can be hired for private dining and in the summer, dinners are possible on the terrace for up to 20 diners.
