Set in spacious and attractive grounds near the centre of Cambridge, Fitzwilliam College encapsulates a rare blend of history and innovation, living up to its heraldic motto of providing "the best of the old and the new". You will find the ambience you would expect from a Cambridge College, add to this our reputation for fine cuisine and you have everything that can turn an ordinary event into something special.

Located on a 7-acre site stretching between Storey’s Way and Huntingdon Road, Fitzwilliam College is a 10-minute walk from the river at Magdalene Bridge in the centre of Cambridge. It is easily accessible from Junction 13 of the M11 and Junction 32 of the A14, as well as other major road routes. There is free parking on-site, on a first-come, first-served basis.

With purpose-built meeting rooms available for up to 250 delegates, in addition to 174 en-suite bedrooms during vacations, we give you the room you need to make your ideas a reality. Our flexible spaces, great food, and excellent service mean you can relax and enjoy your event at Fitz.

The College offers a range of dining rooms to cater for a variety of functions throughout the year in the Upper Hall and Old SCR, and in vacations in the Dining Hall.

The Hall, designed by Sir Denys Lasdun and renowned for its striking glass lantern roof, is ideal for banquets of up to 240 guests. Upper Hall, with a contemporary feel, is suitable for events of up to 140 guests; the space can be divided into two separate rooms for smaller events. Friendly and professional staff are on hand to ensure that your event is an enjoyable occasion.

It has its own projection room and tiered seating with individual writing tablets. This small theatre offers a high quality audio-visual system, including data projector, laptop computer, DVD/CD/VHS player and a complete PA system.

As its main design feature is that of a theatre, this is the only room within the Suite which does not have natural light. It's easily accessible for disabled delegates with wheelchairs.

Fitzwilliam College offers up to 335 on site bedrooms, which include a mix of single and twin ensuite rooms or single semi-ensuite rooms. Bedrooms are located on-site with breakfast served in our striking Dining Hall. All rooms include complimentary toiletries along with a hospitality tray so you can enjoy tea or coffee in your room.

Guests are welcome to enjoy the grounds and should the weather be inclement we have an on-site coffee shop where you can enjoy the view of our gardens with a fresh coffee or warming hot chocolate.

Our semi en suite rooms have been recently refurbished, and offer an extra level of privacy and comfort with private shower facilities.
