St Catharine’s College, Cambridge has marked the completion of the first phase of its central spaces redevelopment. The project will provide – for the first time – direct access between existing buildings. With links to the McGrath Centre, the bar and the JCR, a new ‘Garden Room’ will offer a bright and beautiful new area that connects to a new atrium located in the area at the side of the current Hall.

The McGrath Centre lobby is the first stage of works. It has been redesigned to offer additional space outside suitable for registration, networking and poster sessions whilst allowing the building to operate on an exclusive use basis when the College is able to open again for external events.
