Having identified the challenges many companies face when looking to inspire and engage with their employees, Levy UK at IWM Duxford have developed a new concept - Team Building with Purpose - which combines a unique and memorable experience alongside thought provoking, leadership development.
The Libra Company Managing Director, Paul McLaughlin was intrigued by the new offering -which uses the unique story and exhibits around the museum to prompt employees to consider key leadership principles such as culture; strategy; communication and innovation.
Paul commented; “I really liked the idea of my employees being inspired by unique environments across the museum. Where better to consider innovation than whilst standing under Concorde or leadership having just read an extract from Sir Winston Churchill’s ‘finest hour speech’… To top it all, the most-engaged team were thrilled to experience a flight on a vintage Dragon Rapide”
The Libra Company employees visited IWM Duxford combining the team building with their management meeting in the onsite conference centre. Reflecting on the experience Paul said “it was a great combination, the formalities of the meeting alongside a very unique teambuilding activity which got employees from across the business engaging with each other. The documented feedback we gathered was very surprising and will influence and enhance our strategy moving forward.”
Bonnie Taylor, Business Development Manager from Levy UK at IWM Duxford, who has developed the product was delighted with the launch, she commented; “our aim is to offer an inspiring environment that supports leadership development with many of our existing and hopefully new clients. Having witnessed the level of employee engagement and thought provoking conversation during the event I’m really pleased that the Libra Company felt it was a meaningful and rewarding experience.”
Team Building with Purpose is complimentary to all clients using the onsite conference centre but can also be booked independently and can be customised to an organisation’s leadership focus.
